New ITV dating show lets you see a potential love interest’s home before going on a date with them

The producers are coming to the city to film a new series in July. Are you looking for love and a dab hand in the kitchen? The popular dating show is coming to the city to film an episode of its new series next month – and wants single Bristolians to feature. Hat Trick Productions, the television production company behind the show, is looking for men and women to get in touch. Each episode follows a single guy or girl as they are given five three-course menus to choose from, put together by potential dates eager to make a good impression. At the end of the dates, the dinner guest must choose which of the hosts they want to take out for a romantic evening. Yes, after Love Island was postponed until following the coronavirus pandemic, it appears the network is giving us all something else to look forward to, which currently has the working title, The Cabins. Joining forces with 12 Yard Productions, the website is urging singletons to apply and has already given a sneak peek at what they can expect from the venture. The application form states that you must be 18 or over to apply for the show, and be a permanent legal resident that is currently living in the United Kingdom.

It also appears that the programme has its very own Instagram — with followers already commenting that they have applied to be on the show including plumber Darren Joe Watson who has previously appeared on both Blind Date and Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer. New dating show The Cabins has already had a lot of attention and is looking for singles to take part. There was no Love Island this year, but that hasn’t stopped ITV bosses from being hard at work on playing Cupid as they have come up with a brand new dating show. January saw the first ever Winter Love Island, but it failed to reach the ratings highs of its summer predecessors. And, after dealing the blow that there would be summer Love Island this year due to the global coronavirus pandemic, ITV confirmed that the much loved show wouldn’t be back until summer That means that their is a clear gap in the TV schedules for a winter love fest and that could be filled by a new show with a working title of The Cabins.

Its Instagram account is hinting that it could well be what fans were hoping Winter Love Island would be, with cosy log cabins and snow rather than South African sun and bikinis. Winter Love Island started in early January so if you’re single and fancy taking part you might want to cancel all plans you have for the start of Dubbed ‘coronavirus friendly’ it will see singles lives in bubbles in a Los Vegas penthouse.

ITV Is Planning A New Dating Show This Winter Called ‘The Cabins’

The advertiser-funded programme is created and produced by the award-winning Shiver, an ITV Studios label, in association with home furnishings retailer Dunelm, via Goodstuff. ITV worked closely with Dunelm and Goodstuff on an innovative funding and brand partnership around the show which fitted in perfectly with the launch of a new creative platform for Dunelm titled “Our homewares, your home. Back to Mine, launching on ITV main channel on Sunday 30 September, is a light-hearted programme which taps into the idea that people’s home decor choices influence potential romantic partners.

Each episode will see a singleton take a look around the homes of three potential partners and pick who they would like to go on a date with. The chosen date will then have a chance to look at the home of the person who picked them and decide if they also want to meet up and go on a date and reveal what they thought of each other’s homes.

Just when you thought that Love Island -shaped hole in your life would never diminish, ITV has gone and filled it with new dating show Singletown. Monday September 2 saw the first episode premiere on ITV2, following five couples as they put a time-out on their relationship in order to party as singletons in separate London apartments. At the end of each week, the couples will come back together for the Love Locket Ceremony held by the show’s co-hosts Emily Atack and Joel Dommett , during which they will decide whether to get back together or carry on living their best single life.

The first episode introduced viewers to the couples and their situationships, and they were then separated before being launched into the deep end with a singles party followed by a mixer. With a whole host of fresh faces to flirt with, already the cracks were starting to show between some of the couples. What’s more, there were some clear similarities to dating show Love Island — a group of young contestants looking for love, a snarky narrator and the fact that it airs every weeknight.

Oh so they have literally made a whole TV series of Casa Amor I see Singletown LoveIsland. Was interested in Singletown because I thought it was some kind of match maker show. But no, it’s basically Love Island in a city setting but they’ve thrown actual couples into it. Because you know, you’d definitely split up to go on the same show wouldn’t you.

I’m not ashamed to admit that when the news broke we would not be seeing another series of Love Island until summer at the earliest, I was pretty devo’d. From the titan of TV matchmaking, Blind Date , to the more niche Take Me Out , the British public has fallen in love with a genre that mixes the suspense of “Will they, won’t they? The Dating Game wrote the rule book for dating shows: corny questions, cheesy answers and a host who acts as a tongue-in-cheek Cupid.

ITV drops a bunch of singletons into a luxury villa and they only way they can get through the show is by coupling up! They are forced to pair up.
